1. Wiper rubber 
2. Cutter 
3. Needle

Ready, let's start!

1. Lift both wiper arms 

2. Rotate the wiper blade 90 degrees to the wiper arm (you will see a small pin) 

3. Push down the small pin and push out the wiper blade (for easier rubber insertion) 

4. Slowly pull out the old rubber with the metal strips 

5. Pull the metal strips out from the old wiper rubber 

6. Insert the rubber into the wiper all the way until it locks into place 

7. Insert the metal strips into the wiper rubber (the topmost groove of the rubber) 

8. Trim the excess rubber from the metal strips and wiper blade 

9. Reattach the wiper blade to the wiper arm

10. Check or refill the wiper fluid to the FULL level 

11. Test by pressing the spray button to check for proper function

12. If the windshield washer fluid doesn't spray, use a needle to poke the spray nozzle, as it might be clogged from long disuse

Always keep the water reservoir full
The wiper fluid system is important. Always keep the windshield washer fluid reservoir full and use clean water to prevent sediment from entering the reservoir, hoses, and connectors, which can cause the spray nozzles to clog.

Why? You should not add cleaners or chemicals into the windshield washer fluid reservoir, such as dish soap or glass cleaner, hoping to make the windshield cleaner. This is because these agents are harmful; they cause the wiper rubber to deteriorate quickly, produce foam while wiping, making visibility unclear, and also have corrosive properties that can damage paint and plastic car parts.

Lifting the wiper arms when parking a car in the sun is a misunderstanding. Wiper rubbers typically deteriorate over time (depending on the type of rubber used) and can cause the springs in the wiper arms to fatigue, reducing the pressure on the windshield. The wiper arm or blade may bend out of shape, failing to clear water and dirt completely, resulting in repair costs greater than simply replacing the rubber or wiper blade.
